Terms of Service

The rules for using Bad Times AI to turn photos into Bad Times dance videos, buying credits, and posting what you make.

Last updated: October 13, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Bad Times AI ("Bad Times AI", "we", "us") about your use of badtimesai.org and the video generator on it (the "Service"). By creating an account, buying credits or generating a video, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service does

Bad Times AI lets you upload a photo of a person or an animal and receive a short AI-generated video of that subject performing the "Bad Times" dance routine, with a soundtrack added. Videos are produced by third-party AI models. Results vary: the model may change details of a face, outfit, body, pet or background, and occasionally a render fails.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account or buy credits. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.

3. Your account

You sign in with Google or with an email address and password. Keep your login details private; you are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us through the contact page if you think someone else has accessed it.

4. Photos you upload

You need the right to use every photo. By uploading a photo you confirm that:

  • you took it, or you have permission from whoever owns it;
  • every recognisable person in it is you, or has agreed to appear in an AI-generated video, and is an adult (or you are their parent or legal guardian);
  • it does not show a celebrity, public figure, or a character from a film, show, game or comic whose likeness you have no right to use.

You keep ownership of your photos. You give us a limited licence to store, process and send them to our AI providers only to create your videos and to provide the Service.

5. Things you may not do

Do not use Bad Times AI to create or share videos that:

  • depict a real person without their consent, or are meant to deceive people into thinking a real event happened;
  • sexualise anyone, or involve anyone who appears to be a minor in a sexual or exploitative way;
  • harass, bully, threaten, defame or demean a person or group;
  • show cruelty to animals or encourage violence or illegal activity;
  • infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights.

You also may not try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or scrape the Service, resell access to it, or get around credit charges. We may refuse, remove or report content, and suspend accounts, that break these rules.

6. Videos you create

Subject to these Terms, the videos you generate are yours to download, keep and post, including on social media and for commercial purposes, as long as you had the rights described in section 4. You are responsible for how you use them.

The soundtrack is the trending "Bad Times" sound and remains the property of its rights holders. Social platforms may mute, label or restrict videos that contain commercial music under their own rules; that is outside our control.

7. Credits, plans and payments

  • Each video costs the number of credits shown in the studio at the time you press Generate.
  • Video packs are one-time purchases. Pack credits do not expire.
  • Monthly plans add credits every billing month, including on yearly billing. Plan credits that are not used by the end of the month expire. Plans renew automatically until you cancel; you can cancel any time from your billing settings and keep access until the end of the paid period.
  • Prices are shown in US dollars before checkout; Stripe may show the amount in your local currency. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
  • Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are not refundable once spent, except as described below.

8. Failed videos and refunds

If a video fails to generate, the credits it used are returned to your balance automatically. If something else went wrong (for example you were charged twice, or a finished video is clearly broken), contact us within 14 days and we will review it. Unused pack credits may be refunded on request within 14 days of purchase. Refunded purchases remove the credits they granted. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Bad Times AI running, but we do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or that a particular template or model will stay the same. We may change features, prices for future purchases, or these Terms. If we make a material change to the Terms, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email or on the site.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is". AI output can be inaccurate or unexpected, and we do not guarantee that a video will look exactly like your photo. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bad Times AI is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Indemnity

If you upload content you had no right to use, or use a video in a way that breaks these Terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and claims that result for us.

13. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time in your security settings; this deletes your photos and videos. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. Sections 6, 10, 11 and 12 continue to apply after your account ends.

14. Independence

Bad Times AI is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, ByteDance, or the artists and rights holders behind the "Bad Times" sound. Their names are used only to describe the trend.
